If  you  want  a  truly  stunning  made-to-measure  wedding  gown  then  you should  hire  the  services  of  a couture designer.

What is couture?
A couture dress is a tailor made gown made especially for you. It comes with  five-star service  –  you will have at least five face-to-face consultations with your designer. So what should you expect?

First consultation
This appointment is all about coming up with the style and concept of your dream dress.  –  you will need to expand  on  the  long  and  white  description.  Your designer  will  take  the  time  to  get  to  know your expectations on style, colour, and fabrics. You will then get to try on loads of stunning sample gowns.

Second consultation
This  is  where  things  start  getting  serious.  You  will  try  on  a  ‘toile’  –  a  3D draft  of  your  dress. Your  Couturier  will  then  pin  all  the  necessary adjustments  and  transfer  them  onto  a  pattern.  They need  to  make sure everything fits perfectly before they cut the fabric.

Third consultation
You will catch the first exciting glimpse of your wedding gown. Your designer will fit the outer shell of the
gown, but you’ll have to wait until the next consultation to get the linings added and the hem marked.

Fourth consultation
The dress should be almost finished, apart from the finer details such as buttons and beading.

Fifth consultation
The big reveal. This is your pick-up fitting –  by then your gown should be completed, pressed and ready
to go.
